We have a wealth of experience and plenty of passion for the game.
Steve has always had a great passion for football, a passion which has led him to playing football at non-league level whilst working as a well-respected UEFA A licensed coach at several Premier League Academies over 25 years. While playing and coaching Steve went on to set up a Sports & Education business called SCL with his business partner Lewis Field.
Working on the football academy programme for 16-19-year olds, Steve recognised there was a need for a football league in which the partner clubs could enhance the development of their players.
The Youth Development League was formed in 2015 and has since managed to positively impact thousands of young lives by offering a complete football experience alongside education.
John’s love of football started at the age of 8 years old, when his Grandad took him to watch Southampton FC. Since that day he has been a lifelong supporter of “The Saints”. John became involved in Non-League football in 1991.
Having watched his local club Fleet Town FC for many years, he was invited to join the committee. John was the Secretary of Fleet Town FC for 15 years which gave him great experience of how a club should be administered, and how the FA, County FA and numerous leagues that he was involved with operated.
In 2014 John used his vast experience and worked with Steve Franks at SCL and by 2015 the Youth Development League was formed with John as General Secretary.
